Brightly Beaming Resources Week # 12: Ducks

This week we learned about ducks.  We had fun reading duck stories and learning letter L and the number 12.

Here is the ladder we made for letter L from No Time for Flashcards.  I doubled this lesson for teaching 12 with 12 rungs on the ladder.

The other day at the library we found feathers on the ground that we used to put on our duck!

I'm also starting to find some "skill" sheets for Shrade to do such as these printables from Homeschool Creations (Pond Life) and Confessions of a Homeschooler (Preschool Pond).   I just used the ones for tracing at this point.

We sang songs like "Little White Duck" and "5 Little Ducks."

It was really fun the other night to see Shrade acting out the story we read earlier that day (Come Along, Daisy) with his ducks in the bathtub. He said, "Daisy, stay close."

And last, but not least, we went to the park to see the ducks. They were very happy to see us. They quack, quack, quacked!
