My review:
These two books shared well known stores and parables with unique perspectives.  In Animal Tales, you will learn about Jesus birth through the eyes of a fox, experience Jesus' first miracle at the wedding through the eyes of a cat, follow Zacchaeus up the tree with a magpie and survive a storm at sea with Jesus with a mouse.  Favorite Parables is a collection of 8 short stories with descriptive illustrations and a timely message for young children.  My son and I enjoyed reading these stories and discussing them before bed.  What a powerful, yet simple set of stories to enjoy over and over with your kids and teach real Biblical truths.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS/ILLUSTRATORS:

Nick Butterworth is a British children’s author and illustrator who has sold more than 12 million books. His book, The Whisperer, won the 2005 Nestle Book Award.  Known for his creation of the British animated series, Percy the Park Keeper, Butterworth has presented numerous stories for children on television. He has two grown children and lives with his wife in Suffolk, England.

Two-time British Book Award winner, Mick Inkpen is an author and illustrator, best known for his creation of the character Kipper the Dog, which won a BAFTA for best animated children’s film in 1998. Inkpen was born and raised in England where he currently resides with his wife and two children.
