Praying Circles Around Your Children by Mark Batterson Book Review and Giveaway!!

Praying Circles around Your Children by Mark Batterson is a book I picked up and read in an hour.  Why?  Because praying for my children is one of the most important things I can do and I hunger how to do it  more effectively!  Mark says, "You'll never be a perfect parent, but you can be a praying parent."  Whew!  This little book was packed with wisdom and practical ways to pray for our children and why we should.  Mark includes The Legend of the Circle Maker which is absolutely astounding.  He then shares 5 prayer "circles."  These "circles" are ways to pray for your kids and through your kids.  There is no greater gift you can give to your children but to pray for them and teach them to pray.  Let's revolutionize this generation and pray fervently for our kids.  You will love this little book!

**Disclosure: I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.**

Change the World; Pray for Your Sons - May 1-21

For those of you who have read my blog know that I am passionate about raising my son to serve God and I'm passionate about praying for him. I have prayed with Warrior Prayer Challenge two times and we are going to have another challenge May 1-21, 2012. I HIGHLY encourage you with sons to take those 21 days to PRAY fervently with me and the rest of the MOB Society for our sons. There is no better way to raise our sons than to be on our knees in honest prayer. The Warrior Prayers ebook is the best resource I have found because Brooke (the author) has chosen 21 areas to pray for our sons and created 10 prayers for each area using Bible verses. You actually pray Bible verses and insert your son's name. Powerful!!!

Also, be sure to SIGN UP to pray for May 1-21.  See details here: 21 Days for Sons

I Have a Mother Who Prays for Me -Author Unknown

As we start this 21 Day Journey of Praying for our sons, know that this is the MOST important thing you can do for them. I found this poem today! I want to share it with you.

I Have a Mother Who Prays for Me
Some have had kings in their lineage,
Some to whom honor was paid.
Not blest of my ancestors – but,
I have a mother who prays.

I have a mother who prays for me
And pleads with the Lord every day for me.
Oh what a difference it makes for me -
I have a mother who prays.

Some have worldly success
And trust in riches they’ve made -
This is my surest asset,
I have a mother who prays.

My mother’s prayers cannot save me,
Only mine can avail;
But mother introduced me to Someone -
Someone who never could fail.

Oh yes…I have a mother who prays for me
And pleads with the Lord every day for me.
Oh what a difference it makes for me -
I have a mother who prays.

We start tomorrow praying for Heart Change (page 40).

Biblical Virtues to Pray for Your Children

Yesterday I posted the last of the Biblical Virtues to Pray for Your Children series that I had for August.  I want to know what your thoughts are concerning praying for your child.

*Do you pray with your husband?
*Do you pray during your quiet time?
*Do you pray these out loud in front of your child?
My prayer is that you make praying for child a HIGH priority in your life.  God has special plans for your sweet children.

Please share any thoughts!  Thanks, Shonda
