Summer Bible Reading Adventure- August

Hi Everyone!  I can't believe we are almost done with our Summer Bible Reading Adventure.  Just one more month to go!  How are you doing?  Are you reading the Bible everyday with your children?  What a wonderful gift you are giving to them.

Go to Scripture Adventures for a FREE download of a Summer Reading Calendar for August.

And here is my Summer Bible Reading Plan for August printable. Both June, July, and August are on this document. This document is Shared, but if you can't access it, please email me at shondaet@gmail.com.

Be sure to follow me on Facebook for daily verse postings!  Thanks!

You do not have to read the same verses as we do, but the goal is to read at least ONE verse everyday with your children. This last month we read from every book in the Old Testament and Shrade was very interested in all the names of the prophets.  He would ask, "Mommy, who is Nahum?"  It was fun to explore these unusual names and also the great verses that God shared through these prophets.

This month we are finishing up reading a few verses from every book in the Bible and I chose some extra special verses with longer passages.  Some are stories and some are "need to know" passages of Scripture.  Start them when they are young!

Are you new?
You can still join!  Fill out the form below and every month I will email you to see how you did.  I will give a prize to the family that completes the challenge with the most days read and answers an ending survey.   Prize will be a children's Bible. Prize awarded sometime in September.

For those of you who completed the July Bible reading,

please fill out the check in form by August 10.  Thanks, Shonda

PS.  I am thinking of a Fall Challenge Scripture Adventure which will be a little different.  Would you be interested?

We have been so overwhelmed this summer with other stuff, that I haven't gotten to do this. I just peeked at your verses. :) YAY!

(Question...with the Shared documents, can they be horizontal?)

Didn't do so good in June, but really enjoyed and did well in July! I'm enjoying this so much. I would love to have something like this for the Fall, I think it would be even more beneficial too, this summer was so hectic, Fall (I'm anticipating) will be a more slow paced, back to schedule kind of season, I feel I may be able to devote even more time to this.
