I'm Guest Posting over at From Cristin to Mommy

Have you ever thought of making your own baby food?  Well, when I had my son about 3 years ago, I decided that when he was 6 months old that I was going to feed him food that I made instead of buying baby food at the store.  Why?  Well, first, being on one income we had very limited funds and to me, baby food can get rather expensive.  Also, whole foods are amazing for children and adults.  And, I love to cook!  I immediately found a bunch of websites that showed exactly what to do and I bought this book- Super Baby Food, (2nd) Second Edition by Ruth Yaron, which has been the best resource for me so far.  Now, I have a daughter who is almost 6 months old and I'm starting the homemade food journey again!  I have so many more ideas, but today I'll just give you some basic first things to do.

Great post! Thank you so much! I'll be bookmarking this for the future. We chose to take the organic route for my son (now 2yo) and it was very expensive. I'm coming to the realization that if I want to keep up the nutritional quality with a second child, I will need to make some (a lot/most/all) on my own. Thanks again!
